The original GP Laureato was not designed by Genta, although it clearly owed much to him. The actual designer of the Laureato was, according to legend, a somewhat anonymous “Italian architect”. The current Laureato design moves slightly further away again, although it retains the signature octagonal bezel which, shall we say, leant heavily on another well-known Genta design of the early 70s.
